Week of October 12

FedNow deposits and payouts

Brale now supports FedNow, the Federal Reserve’s instant payment service, on enabled accounts. FedNow runs 24/7/365 and typically settles in minutes.
  • Inbound: Payers can send FedNow credits to an Automation’s virtual account to mint stablecoins automatically.
  • Outbound: Create a Transfer with fednow_credit to pay out USD from your stablecoin balance.
  • Testnet: The Automation deposit simulator now accepts fednow.
See the FedNow overview, Receive FedNow deposits, and Send FedNow payouts.

Wire payment reference fallback

For inbound wires, payment_details.payment_reference can now be populated from the sender’s “Message to receiving bank” field when no memo, OBI, or remittance reference is available. See Wire payment references.

Testnet branded Automations without mainnet verification

With testnet credentials, you can now create branded Automations for business or individual accounts without completing mainnet KYB/KYC. See Branded Automations.

Required documents for regulated non-US businesses

The documents Brale requires from regulated non-US custodial businesses are now listed. See Required documents for a regulated non-US business.

Prohibited businesses

A new Prohibited businesses page lists the business types Brale cannot onboard.

October 2026

Outbound wire return details

When a receiving bank returns an outbound domestic wire, Brale now updates the original transfer to failed and sends a transfer.failed webhook. This can happen even after the transfer reached complete. The failure object includes a new wire_return field with the bank’s return code and reason when available. Keep accepting transfer.failed for transfers you recorded as complete. See Transfer status lifecycle and Returned outbound wires.

USDC on XRP Ledger

You can now send and receive USDC on XRP Ledger using the xrp_ledger transfer type. See supported transfer types for USDC.

Custodial accounts for regulated non-US businesses

Regulated businesses outside the United States, such as money services businesses and virtual asset service providers, can now open business custodial accounts in any of the approved countries. Send the new optional regulatory_profile object, with the regulator and license_number, on POST /accounts. Requests that omit regulatory_profile are unaffected. See International custodial availability for regulated businesses and Creating a regulated non-US custodial business account.

Testnet Automation deposit simulation

Developers can now simulate inbound ACH and wire deposits into testnet Automations, exercise the normal payment and mint lifecycle, and test webhook handling without moving real fiat. See Simulate an Automation deposit.
NewUpdate
Week of June 29
This week’s updates focused on programmatic management of webhook subscriptions.

Webhook subscription API

You can now create, list, retrieve, update, and archive webhook subscriptions directly through the API, and pull delivery attempt logs for debugging. Previously, subscriptions were managed out-of-band. See the webhook subscription API reference and the webhooks overview.

Wildcard event subscriptions

Webhook subscriptions now accept namespace wildcards like transfer.*, payment.*, and account.*. Subscribing with a wildcard automatically opts you into every current and future event in that family, so you don’t need to update subscriptions when Brale ships new event types. See create a subscription.

Account-scoped webhooks

Webhook subscriptions are scoped per account. Multi-account organizations should create a subscription for each account that needs event delivery. See the webhooks overview for details.
NewUpdate
May 2026
May’s updates focused on real-time event delivery, smoother onboarding, more resilient payouts, and expanded network coverage.

Webhooks for transfer updates

Brale now supports webhooks for transfer events, allowing applications to receive real-time notifications instead of polling the API. Webhook deliveries use signed requests, idempotency keys, and delivery logs to support secure, auditable integrations. Read the announcement.

Dashboard document upload for onboarding

Customers can now upload requested verification documents directly through the Brale dashboard. Submitted documents are automatically routed into the verification workflow to reduce manual back-and-forth during onboarding.

RTP fallback controls

Organization admins can now choose whether failed RTP transfers automatically fall back to Same Day ACH.

Idempotent Plaid bank registration

Registering an already-linked Plaid bank account now returns the existing address_id instead of a duplicate-account conflict. Archived matching bank accounts can be unarchived and reused.

Starknet support

Brale now supports Starknet, including SBC and YSBC deployments on Starknet. See transfer types for the full list of supported networks.
NewUpdate
April 2026
April’s updates focused on making transfers easier to reconcile, simplifying payout setup, expanding supported networks, and adding new developer tooling.

Richer transfer payment details

Transfer responses now include IMAD and payment details, making inbound ACH and wire reconciliation easier.

Lighter-weight external bank payout setup

External bank payout setup is now simpler for ACH credit, same-day ACH credit, and RTP. See create an address.

Tempo and PulseChain support

Tempo and PulseChain are now supported, expanding the set of networks available for Brale stablecoin workflows. See transfer types for the full list.

Brale MCP Server

The Brale MCP Server is now available, enabling developers to connect Brale workflows to AI-powered tools and agents.

USDT on Tron

Brale now supports USDT on Tron for onramps and offramps.
NewUpdate
Week of March 17

Tron support

Brale now supports Tron as a transfer type. You can mint, burn, and transfer stablecoins on Tron mainnet and Tron testnet. Use tron and tron_testnet as transfer_type values in the API. See transfer types for the full list of supported chains.

USDT and RLUSD now available

Two new third-party stablecoins are available as value types:
  • USDT (Tether USD) — issued by Tether
  • RLUSD (Ripple USD) — issued by Ripple
You can now use these alongside Brale-issued stablecoins in transfers. See value types for the complete registry.

Transfer timing reference

A new transfer timing page documents cut-off times, settlement windows, and finality expectations for every supported transfer type — including fiat rails (wire, ACH, RTP) and onchain networks grouped by speed tier. Use it to set polling intervals and plan around settlement times.

20+ supported blockchains

The platform now supports over 20 blockchain networks for stablecoin issuance and transfers, up from 14. See the full list in transfer types.
